Overview
The Association of Accrediting Agencies of Canada (AAAC) was founded in 1994 as a national network of professional education accrediting bodies. It provides a collaborative forum and a collective voice for the community which assesses the quality of professional higher education programs. AAAC advances the knowledge, skills, and good practices of accreditors, and communicates the value of accreditation as a means of enhancing educational quality.

Membership
Membership dues are $920 + taxes annually.
Membership fees are pro-rated based on the date of approval for membership.
Full AAAC Membership
For Full AAAC Membership, the accrediting organization must:
- demonstrate that it meets AAAC definition of Full Membership by means of an application;
- endorse the AAAC Member Guidelines of Good Practice; and
- submit the application fee.
For Associate membership, the organization must:
- demonstrate that it does not meet criteria for Full AAAC membership;
- endorse the AAAC Member Guidelines of Good Practice;
- submit the application fee.
Membership will continue as long as the organization is a member in good standing.

Association of Accrediting Agencies of Canada (AAAC) is an autonomous non-profit corporation.
Its purposes are:
- Provide a forum for networking and information exchange for accrediting agencies and those organizations with an interest in accreditation;
- To identify and promote good practices for accreditation standards and processes;
- To advance the expertise of Canadian professional education accrediting agencies
- Provide a mechanism for continuing education for individuals and organizations with accreditation responsibility.
